Co-operative Bank of Kenya has committed Sh110 million in financing to Eboss Investments Company to support the construction of Seven Oaks School, a British-curriculum institution that will serve as the anchor for a growing mixed-use community in Ruiru.
The new school will cater to hundreds of families settling in the 143 Brookview Membley estate, a modern gated development blending housing, education, commercial spaces, and recreational amenities.

The financing structure includes a Sh80 million mortgage facility dedicated to building the school, complemented by a Sh30 million revolving term loan to support phased project development. The groundbreaking ceremony for Seven Oaks School marks the beginning of Phase 4 of the community’s expansion.
“Our financing approach follows the project’s natural growth. Once Eboss proved their ability to deliver in earlier phases, we structured support for the school phase through a mortgage facility,” said Vincent Kihara, Head of Mortgage Finance at Co-operative Bank of Kenya. “It’s a model that ensures sustainable delivery while matching financing to real progress on the ground. We continuously want to stamp our support towards youth-led developments.”
Eboss Investments has already delivered Phases 1 through 3 since 2018, relying initially on family resources and buyers’ deposits. The company’s ability to complete these earlier stages successfully was a key factor in securing bank financing for the school and future phases. Phase 3 of the development, which is ongoing, features 20 four-bedroom, all-ensuite townhouses with domestic staff quarters. The units range in size from 250 to 330 square metres and are priced between Sh33 million and Sh35 million.
The Sh30 million revolving loan will fund the fit-outs and finishing of these homes, allowing Eboss to speed up delivery while unlocking value for buyers and the company. The model ties financing closely to progress on the ground, providing assurance both to financiers and homeowners.
Geoffrey Gitaka, Director at Eboss Investments Company Ltd, credited Co-op Bank with helping transform their vision into a tangible project. “Co-operative Bank has walked with us from the beginning — they sat down with us, analyzed our vision, and recognized that we had something solid,” he said. “This partnership has grown beyond financing; we’ve opened up new conversations and see a future where their clients are our clients. For us, this is more than just a loan — it’s a strong partnership for the long journey ahead.”
The Seven Oaks School will stand at the centre of the 143 Brookview Membley development, providing convenience for families and boosting the community’s value proposition. Beyond education, the estate’s master plan includes 100 housing units, a commercial hub, jogging tracks, children’s play areas, landscaped green spaces, and round-the-clock security.
The vision reflects Ruiru’s rapid transformation from a commuter town into a hub of modern living, where families seek integrated solutions combining housing, schooling, and lifestyle amenities within the same neighbourhood. By positioning the school as the anchor, Eboss aims to attract families looking for a self-contained community.
For Co-op Bank, the project demonstrates its commitment to supporting young developers with structured financing tailored to real estate growth patterns. The bank has been expanding its mortgage financing portfolio, with a focus on youth-led ventures that show a track record of delivery.
Eboss Investments, based in Membley, has positioned itself as a player in the mid-to-high income housing market. By blending education and residential facilities, the company is tapping into a model that is gaining traction in Kenya’s property market, where buyers are increasingly attracted to communities offering schools, retail, and leisure options alongside housing.
When fully complete, Brookview Membley will stand out as one of Ruiru’s most comprehensive developments, offering a mix of lifestyle and convenience tailored to modern family living. The addition of Seven Oaks School is expected not only to serve the immediate community but also to enhance the long-term value of the development, making it an attractive choice for both homeowners and investors.
