A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier has been arrested for raping his wife’s friend in Kisimani, Nyali Sub-County on Thursday.
The victim, aged 22, had gone to the friend’s house but only found the husband who invited her into the house.
“He then locked the door and dragged her to the bed where he forcefully raped her,” police said.
The victim told the police that when she tried to scream and resist, the soldier threatened to kill her.
“He warned me against screaming saying that he had killed many people and that killing me would not be a big deal,” the victim said.
The suspect was arrested and interrogated and is set to be arraigned. Nyali police station commander said the Military Police had been informed accordingly.
Elsewhere in Imenti North Sub-County, a 42-year-old man was also arrested for defiling a girl aged 17 in Kambakia village.
Martine Njoro was arrested by members of public who handed him over to officers from Kambakia police station.
